Our amazing VIBE kids have had such a fabulous experience in LA. They have met so many fabulous new friends. They have been rehearsing for the finale of Live to Dance. The votes are in. We will find out the results on Wednesday. They will be performing with all the contestants to a number choreographed by Paula Abdul. If they are in the top three, they will perform one more number. Laci and I have our bags packed and will be flying out to enjoy the moment with Erika. Whatever the outcome, we are all so proud of them and are so happy that they got to have such a wonderful life changing experience!

So Erika had decided to go to Mountain View this year. She tried out for the dance company and made it. After many discussions and lots of time pondering the pros and cons, she has decided to become an Orem Tiger. This puts her so close to my mom and dad's house. It will be so convenient. My mom is already exited to stock the kitchen with all the things Erika and her friends will need for fun lunch time visits. She will miss the new dance girls at Mountain View. She has promised them to go watch them dance. The principal told us that Orem High is not taking any new students this year. It would take an act of congress and a pile of paperwork to get her in. Her future at Orem was looking bleak. As soon as the principal found out that her step brother was JT, she threw all the paperwork aside, went to the last page, signed it and said "Aproved! Welcome to Orem High! I love that kid!" So thanks JT for getting her into Orem!

Fundraiser for Michael Malarsie

Laci, I and our friend Jenn Dunn are hosting a fundraiser for our cousin Michael who was wounded in battle. Local dance studios are joining us for a night of entertainment to help us raise money for his recovery. Anyone wanting to come and/or donate please contact us. We are so exited to help!!!!

Our Wounded Soldier

As some of you know, my cousin's son Michael was injured while on duty in Afghanistan. An IED detonated, injuring several in his party as well as killing at least 3 others. Michael's injuries were not life threatening but as the days have gone on, we have learned that it was necessary to remove his left eye. The doctors tried to save his right eye, but the damages were also too great. He has now lost sight of both eyes. He sustained several other injuries including, shrapnel from the explosive device, wounds to his neck and left shoulder, a broken jaw, facial wounds and more. We have been praying for Michael's recovery. He is facing more surgery in the near future. He has a great attitude, and we are all thankful that he survived with his life. His relatives in Colorado are putting together some fundraisers. Laci, along with our friend Jenn Dunn are planning on doing the same here. If you would like to help, or donate items for an auction, please let us know. More info to come when we get the details worked out. Erika's surgery is finally over!

Yesterday was Erika's surgery! We are also very happy to find out that she doesn't have to get a second surgery like we had thought. She now has 7 screws holding together her broken leg and rebuilt ligaments held with another screw. She did so great and I am so proud of her.

Erika has been waiting for over a week for her surgery. It is finally the day! This will be the first of two operations. The doctor that will be doing the surgery is the same doctor that operated on my dad's hip. I was so impressed with him, that I wanted him for Erika. I know she will be in capable hands. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We love you Erika!!!

Loss of a friend

Sharon was my friend since the 80's. We worked for my dad at Rocky Mountain Helicopters together. She was the sweetest person who was always smiling! She will be missed. Our love to her family.

Sharon Kaye Price Stuart, our Sissy, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, September 11, 2009. She was born April 7, 1968 in Idaho Falls, ID, the second daughter to James Robert and Sandra Taylor Price. She was her daddy’s little girl and her mother’s pride and joy. She married her best friend, Daniel James Stuart in Springville, UT on May 19, 1990.Sharon graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1986. She attended Stevens-Heneger College and graduated with a business degree. Sharon was very active in her life, working as a manager of the Art City Drive-in, teaching pre-school at Center Stage for Performing Arts and also working as a secretary there. She served as a Cub Scout leader and also worked at Utah Valley Service. She enjoyed travel and Girl’s Weekend and was an avid Bunko player. Sharon loved dancing and especially enjoyed her daughter’s performances at Center Stage and Springville High. She was a loving and caring mother and friend to all, including being a second mother to all the kids at Center Stage. Sharon was always the life of the party and will be forever missed.She is survived by her husband; her parents; daughter, Cameron, mommy’s pretty dancer; son, Devin, her baby boy; sister and best friend, Cheryl (Keith) Hamilton; four step-daughters: Austin, Brittany, Amberly and Breanna; 6 step-grandchildren, 2 yet to come and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: James and Barbara Price and Thermon and Susie Taylor.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Kolob 6th Ward, 1230 S 500 E, Springville, UT. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville or Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church. Well, the holidays are over. I have to admit I really loved all the time off work! 40 hour work weeks beginning at 5:30 are just around the corner. Reality BLOWS!!! I enjoyed the time I spent with my girls and Jeff. We had some really great times together!

Mini Vacation

This weekend Laci, Erika, and I went up to Salt Lake for Erika's dance competition called NUVO.

When we got there we went to the Body Worlds. It was awesome!

Then we went to Lunch at The Little America.

Erika then went to a convention all night and Laci and I went to the Jazz game!

I stayed at the hotel with the girls Friday. Saturday we got up and went to the competition. Erika did awesome!!

Laci, Erika and I ran a 5K with Erika's Young Women's. We had a great time. I was quite proud of myself considering my health at the beginning of the year. It was a huge accomplishment. We made it!

Max Update......

For Laci's birthday, she wanted to go to a taping of

"Good Things Utah". So, Erika, Laci, my sister Chris, my mother and I headed to Salt Lake. We had a blast. We shopped at Gateway, and then met up with Kylee and Auri for lunch at Market Street. We laughed all day, danced and sang! We could not have asked for a more perfect day!!

Poor little Max!

Well, we found out what is wrong with our sweet baby Max. He played too hard with his girlfriend Little Foot and destroyed his ACL. He is in so much pain. The only way to help him is to have major orthopedic surgery. We have scheduled this for the first week in August. It is very painful, and has an eight week recovery. We are so sad for him, but will do everything to help him get better. We love you buddy!!!

Life at the Lindsays has been quite crazy. We have moved. Thanks to Erika and Mimi, all the light work was quite easy leaving Jeff with only the heavy furniture to move. We didn't want him to have to pack or move anything that we couldn't do ourselves. He works hard emough to have to worry aobut that! Mimi has been here with us for a couple weeks. Erika loves Mimi to death and she has been a ton of help. Max is at the vet getting xrays on his leg. It seems to be getting worse, so we need to get to the bottom of this problem. Wainting by the phone for the call from the doctor! My poor Baby Maxertons!!! My best buddy and work partner Olivia came over to see the new house on our lunch break, and we went to our new friend's hotdog stand to grab a bite. Too Funny!! Hopefully life will slow down. Between having fun house guests, moving, unpacking, cable man, tile man, limping dog, taking phone calls and emails regarding the sale of the cabin, and working full time, it has been quite the chore. Life is good!

Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick!

Last Night Laci, Erika and I went to the Journey, Heart, and Cheap Trick Concert. We met up with Julie and her daughter Holli who saved us seats. We also Met up with Justin, Tina, and Kirt who sneaked up to the front row! Lucky Ducks. We still had a great time dancing and singing.

Erika got home from Girls Camp yesterday too.
